Interactive site map
Every pin is a real site with its hookups and maximum rig length. Tell us how long your rig is and we’ll dim the sites you can’t fit — a 38-footer has all 24 pull-throughs to choose from, while the Sage Loop back-ins top out at 32 feet.
Tap a pin for hookups and max rig length — dimmed pins are too short for your rig.

Amenities
Hot showers and flush toilets between the Sage Loop and the river, open 6 am – 10 pm. Kept clean twice daily by the Marek family.
Ice, firewood, propane, coffee and fresh pastries every morning. Campfire kits and forgotten marshmallows, 8 am – 8 pm.
Free for registered guests at the entrance loop, with a fresh-water fill and two wash-down hoses. No reservation needed.
A gravel path from every loop drops you at the basalt swim hole — wading depth for kids, deep enough to float by August.
Order a bundle by 4 pm and it arrives at your site before dusk. Oregon law: no outside firewood, so skip the truckbed stash.
Strong enough for a check-in call or a weather lookup. Cell service is thin on the River Loop — that is rather the point.
Well-behaved dogs on a 6-foot leash at every site, with waste stations along all four loops. Two dogs max per site.
No overhead lighting on Meadow Walk or the River Loop. In August you can watch the Perseids from your own camp chair.
Season calendar
All events are free for registered guests unless noted. Dates are set — put them on the calendar before you pick your week.
Wed – Sun, 5:30 pm departures · from the office
Two weekends-plus of guided shuttles to the Metolius viewing areas at peak bugling. $12 per person, sign up at the office by noon.
4:00 pm · pavilion
Lantern-lit farewell to the season. Guests compete, everyone eats, and the winner’s name goes on the ladle until May.
8:00 – 10:00 am · pavilion by the camp store
First weekend of the 2027 season. Buttermilk pancakes on the house, river levels posted on the pavilion board.
7:00 – 10:00 am · the swim hole
Ages 4–12, free to enter. Bait, rods and a hatchery-release rainbow stock the night before. Prizes for biggest, smallest and most creative cast.
Parade 10:00 am · fireworks 9:45 pm
Golf carts and bikes decorate at the pavilion, parade loops the Sage Loop, and fireworks go up over the Deschutes — visible from every riverfront site.
7:30 pm · River Loop amphitheater
Bluegrass and old-time tunes from Bend’s own Alder Creek String Band. Bring a chair; the store sells cider and s’mores kits until 9.
9:00 pm – midnight · Meadow Walk dark-sky field
Volunteers from the Tumalo astronomy club set up two Dobsonian telescopes. Peak Perseid activity — expect 60+ meteors an hour after 11.
1:00 – 5:00 pm · camp store porch
Pies in by 11 am, judging at 1. Local cider, a pumpkin-patch shuttle to Tumalo, and the last of the store’s huckleberry jam.
Rules & quiet hours
Sixty-four sites share one riverbank. These few rules are why guests come back — nine out of ten book the following season before they’ve even packed up.
Quiet hours: 10 pm – 7 am
Generators off, music off, conversations down to campfire volume. The osprey, the elk and your neighbors will thank you.
Getting here
GPS heads-up: phone maps sometimes route you over Awbrey Butte to save four minutes. Don’t — that road crosses private land and dead-ends at a locked gate. Tumalo Market Road is the way.
Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) is 25 minutes north via US-97 and US-20. Several Bend outfitters rent RVs and camping gear; we’re happy to recommend one when you call.
River Loop pull-throughs take rigs up to 45 feet with toads attached. Deschutes River Road is paved to our gate; watch for the cattle guard and a sharp right at the cinder drive.
